I was born in Redondo Beach, California, and spent my early years by the ocean before moving to the Antelope Valley, where I fell in love with the wide-open desert and trail running alongside Joshua trees. My curiosity and sense of adventure have taken me all over—from 10 months in Ghana exploring beaches, forests, and vibrant communities, to five years in Montana with my husband, enjoying snowy mountain winters snowboarding, skiing, and snowmobiling, and summers kayaking, fishing, and floating the Missouri River.

Now in Southern Utah, I love paddle boarding and am just starting to explore canyoneering—a humbling and exhilarating new adventure. I’m also a Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern, graduating with my master’s in spring 2026. Being outdoors helps me recharge so I can show up fully for my clients, and it’s something I’ll always make time for.

Working at the Guru has been such a gift—the team welcomed me right away and made me feel at home. I feel lucky to be part of a company that values both our guests’ experiences and genuine human connections.
A couple years later I attended a yoga retreat with my teacher at Nama-stay and met Jonathan and Catrin who invited me to become part of the Zion Guru team as a yoga hike guide and yoga teacher. I love introducing people to the magic of practicing yoga in nature and the healing, calming affects nature provides.
