I’m passionate about creating an environment where people feel empowered to try something new, supported when they need it, and proud of what they accomplish. Whether I’m working alongside the team in the shop, helping someone find the right gear, or figuring out how we can make an adventure run a little smoother, I love being part of the process that turns a good day outside into an awesome one.

I’m excited to continue exploring Zion and everything beyond it, but even more excited to help you find your own adventure along the way.

Cheers,

Jiayi

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to learn about the team!

I grew up in southeastern Kentucky, where I spent a lot of time exploring the hills and hollers of rural Appalachia. In high school, a cross-country road trip opened my eyes to just how much there was to see beyond my hometown, and I’ve been chasing adventure ever since.

I discovered rock climbing in college and quickly fell in love with the combination of challenge, exploration, and community that comes with being outside. I especially enjoyed introducing friends to the sport and planning trips to some of my favorite climbing spots, including the Red River Gorge and New River Gorge.

That same love of adventure eventually brought me to Zion Guru. What started as a way to spend more time outside has grown into something much more meaningful: being part of a team and community that helps other people experience the outdoors for themselves. Since joining in the spring of 2025, I’ve had the opportunity to take on more responsibility within Zion Guru, work alongside an incredible team, and become increasingly involved in shaping how we serve our guests and support one another.
