The outdoors has always been more than a destination; it is an experience, a place where I feel most connected to myself and the world around me. Growing up, my relationship with nature was shaped by city parks and valley landscapes, each instilling a deep appreciation for the beauty and serenity of the natural world. I always knew that the outdoors would be a defining part of my life.
When I moved to Southern Utah, I encountered an entirely new landscape: towering red cliffs, lush pine forests, and endless opportunities for adventure. In that moment, I knew I had found my home, my sanctuary. Zion holds profound significance for me; it was the first national park I ever visited, the first park where I served as a ranger, and the place where I met my husband and some of my closest friends.
No matter how often I step away from public lands, I inevitably find my way back. This time, my journey has led me to Zion Guru, a community that has challenged me, inspired me, and encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. For that, I am deeply grateful.
