About a 2 hour beautiful drive from Springdale, Buckskin Gulch is located in the Grand Staircase Monument area. This amazing slot canyon is one of the longest in the world! Once you are inside the 200+ foot tall Canyon walls, you can explore the stories told by indigenous inhabitants of the area (pictographs) and enjoy a hike through the spectacular narrows stretching for miles. This hiking adventure will be something that you will never forget!
If you are staying in the town of Springdale Utah, where the Zion Guru shop is located, your guide is happy to pick you up for your guided tour at your place of lodging for no additional cost.
Plan for a full day tour (8+ Hours). We provide all gear, necessary permits and the round trip transportation for this guided hike.
All Buckskin Gulch trips are full day, travel time is approximately 4 driving hours, leaving approximately 4 hours for hiking and touring.
We provide logistical guidance, interpretative information of human history, geography, geology, and anecdotal folklore.
Please note that Buckskin Gulch is a dry hike and not an active river hike like Kanarra Falls or Zion Narrows, but it is affected by rain and snow and can store water in the slot canyon as it passes through.
